Luggage FAQ
Different Strength Materials
When buying your new bag you must remember that luggage can be made out of many different materials. From different strength fabrics all the way to different strength plastics on the Hard side Trolley-cases. So don’t forget that with 98 years of experience we know what trolley-cases will stand the test of luggage handlers!
Lightness (Weights)
These days it seems that every kilo matters when travelling. So when considering a new trolley-case consider the following; light weight luggage does not necessarily mean good quality luggage. At our store we have the perfect balance of light weight trolley-cases and top grade materials!
Pricing with Service
At our luggage store we only sell cases that we can back up with our quality seal of approval. When considering pricing one should always consider that to spend a bit more now you will always have less hassles later! Our trolley-cases are all backed up with guarantees and our customers never pay for repairs! At Sweeney’s luggage centre you not only pay for quality luggage you also get quality service and experience!
Hardside vs. Softside
In our experience if a person travels more than 6-7 times a year, the customer must then consider a good quality hard side trolley case (We recommend the Polypropylene material) any less travel than that and a customer can then look at a good quality soft side trolley case. These days there is also lightweight hard luggage available so don’t hesitate to ask for our expertise!
Coloring
The color spectrum with trolley cases these days is huge, from classic black to electric pinks! Not only do colors show a fashion statement but a bright color is also a great way to identify your case on the carousel when at the airport terminal. We always recommend that when traveling you have some sort of unique identification on your trolley case. There are colored straps, luggage tags and even brightly colored locks!
2 wheels vs. 4 wheels
As technology has advanced so have trolley-cases. With 4 wheel trolley cases now readily available in many brands and sizes we recommend that you take advantage of the style! Nothing compares with the ease of a 4-wheeler trolley case. From people with back problems to those who simply want an easier way to move their suitcase the 4 wheeler is the choice! The 2 wheeler trolley case has the advantage of having less chance of damaging, but in our opinion the ease of a 4 wheeler far outweighs this.
